Hello...

Good grief, this is probably the longest I've gone without blogging. I apologize for my absence and I'm assuming that you have all missed me. (Just assuming) I've finally sort of caught up with everyone else's blog today, so I figured that I should at least post something new myself. My sweet hubby and I are well and alive. The business has been an up-and-down ride, but what business isn't? I'm learning to take each day at a time and not stress about the day after. Knowing myself, I don't usually handle stress really well, so this has been very challenging and eye-opening. Regardless, God is always good and He's never failed to provide, and for that, we're very thankful.

In about less than 3 weeks' time, my beloved parents from Malaysia will be here in Dallas. We've been getting ready physically and emotionally for their visit. I personally have been more anxious lately (and having a tough time falling asleep at night due to my racing thoughts), but it's probably really because I want them to get here NOW. It's been too long and I'm ready to see them!

Oh, and can someone tell me why in the world it's so stinking hot outside?! I know we're in Texas and this should be considered normal, but the entire country is also going through this unusual heatwave. And the weather people predicted rain this morning, but did it? NOPE! This heat is starting to be rather aggravating. There goes my summer aspiration to play more tennis...Anyway, we don't know how we would have survived another summer this year if we were still driving our poor Honda without A/C! Once again, thank YOU LORD for our new car.

I've spent most of today preparing a birthday cake for our young adults' birthday party tomorrow. I love cooking and can do it all day long, but baking is a threatening task for me and definitely not my forte in life. Needless to say, I didn't think it was going to be so complicating, at least judging by the recipe the first time. I hope it'll at least be presentable. :)

Until next time, hope all is well!

Debbie's alive! Wow, I learned a lot about you from this blog. Baking go ok?
Prayers for your parents' arrival to come soon!li

I'm so excited for you for your parents to be here!

And aren't you glad they're coming just as a "cold front" is hitting us this week? HA HAHHA HA (dunno of you've been watching the news lately but they're all excited about the cold front of 95 degrees that is coming in...)

RE: new background for my blog
I searched for "free blog templates", and downloaded them. Then, "unzipped" or extracted what was in the file, opened it in HTML, and copied the html to where my blog has HTML code already (deleted the original code). Or, if you just want to change the background image and not the colors or the rest of it, you can upload a photo to flickr or photobucket, copy the URL for the photo, and paste it into the part where your template's HTML code says background: Put the word Url in front of it and....

Just ask Adam. That's easier.
